Five years after Malaysia introduced a nationwide indoor smoking ban, a new survey by the Society for Cancer Advocacy and Awareness Kuching (SCAN) reveals that while the policy enjoys strong public support, enforcement remains a significant challenge.
The online survey, conducted to evaluate the impact of the smoking ban since its implementation in January 2019, provides a mixed picture. While an overwhelming 97.5% of respondents are aware of the ban, many still report frequent violations.
The Society for Cancer Advocacy and Awareness Kuching (SCAN) is delighted to announce its collaboration with the Malaysian Hospice and Palliative Care Council for the revival of the biennial Congress, now returning to a physical format. Anticipated by many, this year’s Congress will take place in Sibu, Sarawak.
